This week the dart landed on a movie from Martin Scorsese that seems to get overlooked a bit in his filmography. It's THE KING OF COMEDY (#14 on the board), starring Robert DeNiro, Jerry Lewis, and Sandra Bernhard. For any fans of Todd Phillips' JOKER, this is a must watch, as its incredible just how much that film ripped this one off to far lesser effect.

The name's Lazenby. George Lazenby. This week we are discussing George's first and only outing as James Bond in ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE (#19 on the board). Featuring the coolest "Bond Girl" of the series in Diana Rigg, arguably the baddest Blofeld in Telly Savalas, and some of the best action set pieces of the entire series, this one is not to be missed for anyone who appreciates a good spy flick.

This week we're covering an indie-arthouse classic from an artist who put everything on the line to make his films. It's John Cassavettes' THE KILLING OF A CHINESE BOOKIE (#18 on the board). Finally back to one of the original dartboard selections, this one challenged us and makes for one of the more impenetrable films we've ever covered. If you despise the fluff of normal Hollywood filmmaking, this might get your attention, as it breaks ALL the rules.

Jared gets his third choice in a row this week with Sam Peckinpah's 1970 western-comedy, THE BALLAD OF CABLE HOGUE (#20 on the board). Drew and Jared split on this one, but came to the consensus that Jason "Big Dawg" Robards is the greatest actor of all time. Give it a watch and see if you agree!

Dropping this a week late due to some technical difficulties!
This week we cover a film by our first repeat director, Mike Nichols, with his incredibly funny film, THE BIRDCAGE (#15 on the board). Much later in his career than CATCH-22, it offers a different view of his filmmaking style that's much more focused on being a straightforward comedy. For any fans of Robin Williams and clever situational comedy, this will be exactly what you're looking for.

We're covering our first true comedy this week with ALAN PARTRIDGE (2013), also known as ALAN PARTRIDGE: ALPHA PAPA. This is absolutely one of the funniest movies either of us has seen in recent years. If you ever asked yourself the question, "which is the worst monger? Fish, iron, rumor, or war?" you are going to be good friends with Mr. Partridge.
